My name is Marika and I am from New Brunswick, Canada. New Brunswick is part of the 4 maritime provinces, we are neighbors to Quebec and we border Maine, so as you can imagine, we are bilingual!

I made this card for my spiritual friend who was in the hospital. She was diagnosed with type 1 Bipolar Disorder close to a decade ago. She gets high on life and she doesn't eat or sleep for days at a time because she doesn't "need" it. This had not happened for a very long time. Obviously, her physical body gets tired and finally crashes; where she can't stop crying and can't take control of her emotions. She is really open about her 'condition' and wants to help everybody she can by talking about her episodes. She worked extremely hard on herself to understand how her mind works and she's been doing alot of soul searching. She is so inspiring and every time I get to talk with her, I get chills. She is gifted, not 'diagnosed' in my opinion! I hope she can find the tools and guidance to cope with these episodes. My wish for her is strength, light and being free: free of judgment, free of holding back and letting her gift shine through.
Since she told me my spirit animal is a bee, I thought the Honey Bee stamp set was the appropriate stamp to make this card and she would automatically know it came from me. I used the DSP from the SAB and a little bit of gold foil sheets for the trimmings.
