Kylie's Monthly International Blog Highlights-December 2019
Welcome to my blog! My name is Marika and I am an Independant Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in a small bilingual town in New Brunswick, Canada. This is my first time following Kylie's training and I am LOVING it so far! These big french doors just opened before me and the road ahead is full of light and beautiful colors! Luckily for me, my November card class was designed using the Nature's Beauty Stamp Set. Since Stampin' Up! was giving 4$ of every stamp set sold to a mental health organization, I figured I would create "happy-lift-me-up" cards! I am so grateful to have Stampin' Up! in my life: the sense of family we develop between people we have never met, and probably never will meet, is so comforting and encouraging.
I used the Woodland embossing folder with the Early Espresso and torn the paper. I also used the Sprig and Leaf punches. I spritzed them with water to crumple up the leaves. I know it was hard for a few of my customers when they made their cards to "break" the paper, but the effect/texture it adds to the card is all worth it! I think it kind of relates to any of us going through a rough day, when we feel like we've been crumpled up in a little ball and thrown to the garbage. The sun will rise again tomorrow and our crinkles will be the texture, the proof that we are strong, valuable and important to complete the perfect day! The 'Thinking of You' is from the Wooven Heirlooms. I added a cute little bow with a strand of the Burlap Ribbon.
